Cupcakes in the Park

Today was a blast! 

 

 

Thanks to our awesome mom Angie, we had a fun and creative morning!

 

 

The kids had so much fun playing with icing and sprinkles!
 

 

They were really excited!

 

 

So much creativity.

 

 

 

Even the babies had cupcakes (on their jammies that is.)

 

 

And of course... there was icing everywhere!

Pinterest Win: How to remove Heat Stains on Wood!

So I had this awful heat stain on my dining room table.

Ew

 

I found a pin on pinterest that linked me to HERE on creativity through food blog.  It says to use a cloth and iron the stain and it will disappear.  I was really nervous it would make things worse, but I really hate the stain!  So I did it.

 

After10 minutes of ironing the stain was no better!

'I was determined to get this stain out so, I googled it and found a DIY site HERE.

She did the same the same thing I did, dry iron with no results.  Then, she turned on the steam and it worked!!  My uber un-fancy iron has a spray setting that when you iron over it creates steam.  So, I tried both spraying the stain and the towel separately.  Using a damp towel made the stain disappear!

It did leave a super dry spot where the stain was, so I treated it with Old English after and Viola!

The table is a little shiny from the oil in the English so it was hard to get a pic without a reflection, but the stain is gone.

Our End of Summer Day Camp Out

Today's camp out was so much fun!

Our awesome moms set up an amazing day camp!

There was a fire,

 

 Lots of yummy food,

 

 

  

a lake filled with toys,

 

 

 

a butterfly garden,

 

 

and even bird watching complete with hand painted bird and homemade binoculars.

 

 

 

And what camp out would be complete without smores?

 

 

 

 

They were finger lickin' good!

 

WE all had an had an amazing time!

So Many New Friends!

We had a great time at the meet and greet today!  What a GREAT turnout! 

The moms had some great conversations and we are all feeling a bit more sane today as a result. ;)

The kids had a blast playing with chalk and running and climbing on the playground. Then, they discovered a faulty water fountain that shot high into the air.  Needless to say kids plus water equals WAY TOO MUCH FUN!

We can't wait for our next playgroup!

Our August Meet and Greet

Idaho Moms' Network's monthly meet and greet is this coming Monday August 19th!

This is a great chance for prospective, new, and current members to get a chance to chat & get questions answered about IMN.  Feel free to invite people you know that may be interested in joining our great group of moms and kids!

 

 

We will bring some snacks & drinks.  Feel free to bring a snack to share if you'd like.  We will have sidewalk chalk for the kiddos as well.

Babby Farms

We made a visit to Babby Farms in Caldwell yesterday. 

 

We took a guided tour of the farm.

 

 

We saw some amazing animals up close and the kids learned a lot.

 

 

 

 Many of the animals were super friendly and the kids fed them by hand.

 

  

 

We even fed the kangaroos!

 

 

 

Everything was hands on and up close and personal.

Laughing or Crying

What is it about walking into a room with children playing quietly that interrupts the process and suddenly means they can't play without you anymore?  In comes the dilemma of when to interrupt said playtime.  Seriously, you can't risk child-free time to actually accomplish something around the house if that was only a laugh, but what if it was crying?  So, how long do you wait?
